Dhun
Here is Shalom Chaverim written the way we write a tune on the board in class: the rhythm on top, the scale degree under it, then the swara. 1 is Sa, an apostrophe after a number takes it up an octave (5’) and a comma in front takes it down (,5). Read it, sing it, and you have the song in every key at once.
,5 1 1 2 b3 1 b3 b3 4 5 5 1' b7 5 5 1' 5 4 b3 4 5 b3 2 1 ,5 1 2 b3 1,p s s r g̱ s g̱ g̱ m p p s' ṉ p p s' p m g̱ m p g̱ r s ,p s r g̱ s,so do do re me do me me fa so so do' te so so do' so fa me fa so me re do ,so do re me doA line under a swara means it is komal (flattened).
The numbers never change. Only the letters do. That is the whole point of learning a tune by its degrees.
